YOU DONT WANT MY BRAIN IT OVERLOADS CONSTANTLY AND IS A HASSLE tbr simple symbolism is not bad symbolism!! in that case the best thing to utilize is repetition!!! I think for me, most of my symbolism comes from wanting to convey a feeling and then finding an outside parallel that will help inform my audience that without telling them what I want them to feel? idk…..
thank you!!!! I love drawing her hair, her coil are legendary!!
anon said: I’ve heard theories that Hal was a mind player- nothing concrete, just an interesting concept
my self indulgence has reached new levels so… i guess i made a god bod for a pair of shades?
(i’m considering Hal as Prince of Mind for this one)
Hal: When he’s still in the shades, Hal can splinter a piece of his mind, leaving it in the mind of the person that’s currently wearing him. That piece causes teal markings to appear on the persons skin that are similar to the Mind symbol. Through it, he can talk directly into their brain (also while not being worn) and explore some parts of their thoughts.
When he gets a robot body he still has those abilities. In addition to it, those teal markings quickly cover the metal of his body, shifting and changing constantly. His screen-face (under the red shades) also displays some of the mental images of the people he is either touching or is connected through his splinter.
Under either form, he sometimes fills involuntarily someone’s mind with static as a defense mechanism when he has uncomfortable emotions, leaving them a slightly confused/unable to think straight.
You turn around, and witness some kind of angel staring at you with veneration, hair glowing under the blue crystal lighting surrounding the king’s box.
(2/?)(if I sent that last one off anon can you please block my name?) Now, our cast is sixteen strong, minus the antagonists and minor characters. We get a whole subact dedicated to them, then Cascade happens, then we’re introduced to the alphas. Our character roster has grown exponentially, and the focus shifts from the betas. Every time we get a glimpse at them, it’s nearly always the meteor crew, and the few times we get to see the ship, it’s about John and Davesprite and their growth.
(3/?) Jade is being used as a tool for John’s growth now, and has faded into something of a background character. On the other end of the spectrum, there’s a character who’s arguably the most important, because, for some reason, her living is the deciding factor in winning. Vriska, the ceruleanblood, the thief of light, solves nearly every problem on the meteor, from Rose’s drinking, to Terezi’s mess of a love life.
(4/4) Make all the spotlight jokes you want, Vriska becomes the major troll. She, along with some stage setting from John, makes Collide work. She leads the final charge against English. She ends traumatic character development before it begins. And, weve seen something like this before, with Jade and Cascade. Jade god tiers at the right time, saves the planets, gets her and John off of the Battlefield and to the Alphas. But she was never applauded for that, just left to nap for the final fight.
OH THE COMPARISON BETWEEN JADE ROLE IN CASCADE AND VRISKA’S IN COLLIDE oh fuck that is so tasty delicious
