(1/?)Hey! I’m the original vriska as blue lady Anon, and I just kinda wanna talk about my though process a little more. For me, my brain went to vriska due to the narrative. Jade and the rest of the beta kids were introduced as the main protagonists of homestuck. This was their story, how they beat the odds of a broken game. How they all overcame adversity together. And then the trolls showed up, adding not four, but twelve at least somewhat plot relative characters to the mix.

(2/?)(if I sent that last one off anon can you please block my name?) Now, our cast is sixteen strong, minus the antagonists and minor characters. We get a whole subact dedicated to them, then Cascade happens, then we’re introduced to the alphas. Our character roster has grown exponentially, and the focus shifts from the betas. Every time we get a glimpse at them, it’s nearly always the meteor crew, and the few times we get to see the ship, it’s about John and Davesprite and their growth.

(3/?) Jade is being used as a tool for John’s growth now, and has faded into something of a background character. On the other end of the spectrum, there’s a character who’s arguably the most important, because, for some reason, her living is the deciding factor in winning. Vriska, the ceruleanblood, the thief of light, solves nearly every problem on the meteor, from Rose’s drinking, to Terezi’s mess of a love life.

(4/4) Make all the spotlight jokes you want, Vriska becomes the major troll. She, along with some stage setting from John, makes Collide work. She leads the final charge against English. She ends traumatic character development before it begins. And, weve seen something like this before, with Jade and Cascade. Jade god tiers at the right time, saves the planets, gets her and John off of the Battlefield and to the Alphas. But she was never applauded for that, just left to nap for the final fight.

OH THE COMPARISON BETWEEN JADE ROLE IN CASCADE AND VRISKA’S IN COLLIDE oh fuck that is so tasty delicious

another ask made me realize that jade grew up thinking that she was gonna die young because of her stuffed dreamself. And she embraced it. But she lived. It’s a mixture of guilt for living and sudden uncertainty that makes her want to kill the clone(and those feelings). In her conversation with alt!calliope she goes on about how much she wants to help her friends but everything regulates her to the side despite her incredible power. She thinks she’s the evil clone, the wicked witch if you will

floralmarsupial:

GOD “she’s actually the clone” is good and the wicked witch tie in!!!!!!!!

I think the blue lady is related to her grandpa’s death, after all she said once for a long time she thought it was the blue doll that shot him. The demon that eats the universe made me think of a black hole and how that’s related to the conversation she had with doomed calliope on how space players become a sort of void that collapses on itself?? The clone makes me think of the time she was mind controled and turned evil, idk about the rest.

floralmarsupial:

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH THAT BLUE LADY COMMENT yessssss. and OH i love the blackhole comment, thank you anon this ask is so tasty

WAIT BlackHoleBlueDollProspitCorpse anon again!! Now that I think about it, maybe the clone thing is abt she feeling resentment or inadequacy against herself, combined with her negative interactions with other selfs, the one time she talked with jadesprite she was disappointed she could be so coward, she was angry at herself the whole time when grimbark, she felt bad abt her own narrative talking to calliope, she’s probably still jealous abt the Jade that got not to be alone 3 years in the ship
