Internet advertising does not work the same way as other forms of advertising. Unscrupulous developers can create ads that feature malicious code, so adblocking isn’t just for convenience, it’s a necessity to keep your computer running smoothly.
The internet is also the only place where ads can be infested with viruses or be so poorly programmed they slow your PC to a crawl.
